Zephyr String Quartet

Overview

Over the last six years Zephyr has established itself as one of Adelaide’s most versatile ensembles performing an eclectic mix of music in varied venues around Adelaide, Australia and overseas. The quartet has received tuition from the Takacs Quartet, the Australian String Quartet and at the National Academy of Music, and has performed at festivals including the Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Barossa Music Festival and the Glenelg Jazz Festival. The members of the quartet also perform regularly with groups including Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Adelaide Baroque.

In choosing Zephyr to play at your special occasion you choose a group who regularly rehearses and performs together and because of this you can be assured that quality of sound, communication and musical expression are of the highest standard.

Zephyr is passionate about performing all genres of music and their extensive repertoire list includes classical, popular, jazz and folk music. The quartet can accommodate your choice of music or are happy to make suggestions to suit your personal tastes. Zephyr has a SAMPLER CD that you are welcome to borrow to help you with your decisions. The quartet can also play acoustically or amplified, provide and rehearse with wide range of other instruments or singers in your choice of combination and is happy to travel outside metropolitan Adelaide.
